About Me

Dr. Ramona Burrage BSc (HONS), MSc, PgDip, CPsychol

Chartered Clinical Psychologist - Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

As a clinical psychologist I work closely with individuals, supporting them to have a better understanding of the difficulties that they have or may currently be experiencing. Therapy can help Individuals to explore and utilise problem-solving skills, and this in turn can build on individual strengths. I also work with people who may simply want to use therapy as a tool for personal growth and increase self-awareness.

I have had extensive training in assessing a range of difficulties and determining the most appropriate form of help, as well as being trained in providing more than one type of therapy. I use what is referred to as an integrative approach, which means using a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual client's needs and preferences for ways of working through difficulties. These include person-centred, solution-focused, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural approaches. Cognitive behavioural therapy is currently recommended by the Department of Health and NICE as the ‘psychological therapy of choice’ for common mental health problems, including anxiety and depression.
